So here I am, once again hehe, blogging about another giveaway. This time it is for a room makeover! How freaking sweet would that be!? Our kitchen is horribly ugly. Well not my kitchen...my stepmom's kitchen. She said we could redo the kitchen, we just have not had the funds to do it. So I live with this ugly kitchen it the hopes I will win this makeover!

Hippeez Cloth Diaper Giveaway
Just wanted to say that I entered the giveaway that is happening over at Thrifty Nifty Mommy. She is giving away a cloth diaper by Hippeez, a Canadian cloth diaper company. The only requirement to enter was name, address, and the cloth diaper I designed at Hippeez website.
This giveaway ends tomorrow and I am hoping I win because I enter these things all the time and never win. I am keeping positive thoughts though! So click the TNM button to the left and enter! Good Luck.

Zenni Optical
Have you ever heard of Zenni Optical? To be honest I have never heard of it before writing this post and after looking over their website, I am happy I stumbled upon it!
Zenni Optical is the #1 online eyeglasses store offering high quality complete prescription eyeglasses from $6.95. Clark Howard, HLN money expert, has written a new book about how to save money in a tough economy titled "Clark Howard's Living Large in Lean Times." In which, he raved about Zenni Optical as well as other ways to save money. What’s more, he strongly recommended Zenni Optical on CNN’s American Morning show.
One of the first things I noticed was the feature in the top right corner called 'zenni frame fit' so I automatically had to check it out. You upload a picture of your face and tell them your PD (pupillary distance) and away you go trying on frames like as if you were at an actual brick-and-mortar store. Three words come to mind: totally freaking awesome!
The second thing I noticed was the welcome banner located at the top right in the middle of the screen. It caught my attention simply because on the left side of the banner I noticed all the orange "FREE'. I think the word free catches any ones attention, hehe.
My third instinct was to check out all the different frames that they offer as well as the prices to go with them. I loved that I was able to narrow down the search results by clicking the different options in different categories, such as: gender specific, types and styles of frames, and even the color. Also, I do not think that the prices are even that bad.
I am sad to say that I did not have a picture of me to upload to use the 'zenni frame fit' feature, but I have already bookmarked this page so I can back to it in the near future to purchase my new glasses.
Only $6.95 prescription eyeglasses, who can beat that? I also do not believe that I saw any pairs for over $30.00 either, how cool is that. So jump on over to this site and checking out their awesome frames by clicking here now!

Watching Pretty Little Liars with my mom
Guest post written by LuAnn Singer
My mom and I have the exact same taste in TV shows and movies, which makes it really easy to always find someone to watch a TV show or movie with. One of the things that we love to watch together is actually Pretty Little Liars. We've been watching the show since it started and no matter what we have going on that certain week, we make sure to get together and watch the show together. Normally it includes some kind of yummy dessert or snack too!
I was online looking up some show spoilers to forward over to her a few nights ago and while I was doing that I ran across the website clearWIRELESSINTERNET.net. After I looked through it some I decided to change over my home internet service to the provider on that website.
I guess that while the show's on a hiatus after the end of this season that we'll just have to watch movies every Tuesday night or find a brand new TV show to watch together on a weekly basis!

DD GC Necklace
See this totally awesome necklace? I bet you would never guess that it was upcycled (recycling items to re purpose them into something "new") from a Dunkin Donut giftcard.
I stumbled upon RadicalRecycks on Etsy about a year ago and fell in love with her stuff immediately. Tracie, the woman behind the business, upcycles almost anything....she has rings made out of plasticware. How cool is that??? Totally awesome.
I seen the necklaces/bracelets upcycled from gift cards and immediately knew I wanted one made out of a DD giftcard, so I messaged Tracie on Etsy and within in a few days she had found a friend with some DD gift cards and made four or five different cuts/styles and listed them all reserved for me so I could choose which one(s) I wanted to purchase.
It was only $7.00 USD with free shipping since I live in the United States. Shipping everywhere else is only $2.00 USD. Super great price in my book! My favorite thing about these necklaces/bracelets/earrings is that there will never be an exact replica of any of them.
ETA:
I forgot to mention that the packaging my necklace came in was an upcycled envelope made from a magazine flier I think. I don't have a picture of it and I wish I would have gotten a photo or kept it to take a photo of now. Or maybe I will just have to order more from Tracie in the future so I can take a picture.

Cloth vs. Disposable
Doesn't that yellow fluffy butt remind you of Big Bird? It was the softest diaper I had and the first cloth diaper we had ever owned. Sad to say that he only wore those a few times and I donated them to Operation Fluff which run by the mama over at Forward Thinking. I will admit that I did not pay the 70 dollars for the 5 incredibly super soft and yummy RearZ fitted diapers. I did the promotion at Franklin Goose, which was a mess by the way. I was not using them due to it took them forever to dry, even in the sun and making it to a laundromat was not possible for me, I decided to donate them so a mama in need could really use them. Whoever that mama is out there, I hope you are loving and enjoying them! =)
I only cloth diaper part-time and that is how it always has been. Every time I read an article about cloth diapering it gives all the statistics on why it is so much better for the environment, blah blah blah. Okay I get that cloth diapering is better for the environment, but it is like all the articles were copied off of one article. I actually read one article that talked about the usage of water/energy it takes to wash/dry the diapers and whether or not it was the more economical choice.
Me? I love cloth diapering and wish I could buy every diaper I love without the worry of money being an issue. But because I am a full-time student and SAHM to my toddler and my boyfriend only works part-time on the weekends, money is not something we have extra of around here. So a few months back I had to sell most of my stash, which was not big to begin with, for the extra cash to pay bills? Kind of ironic since we sold cloth diapers to in the end just buy more disposables. We also went through a rough patch of the diaper washing routine not being good enough to get all the yuck's out of the diapers, which lead to horrible diaper rashes.
Disposable diapers are horrible for the environment and the child's bottom as well because of all the chemicals being exposed to them, but in the long run the amount of time, water, and energy spent on washing cloth diapers was more than this woman and her man's pockets could handle. I don't hate myself for using disposable diapers like some mamas out in this world probably would if they ever had to put a disposable diaper on their child.
My point is that cloth might not work for everyone vice versa with disposables. We all have our own unique situations that work better for one or the other. So whether it be cloth or it be disposable diapers, we need to do what works best for ourselves.

Why The Loco Lemon....
First of all for those of you that do not know what loco means, it is Spanish for crazy.
So, yes you are now in the world of crazy lemons. Okay, maybe not. But can you imagine a world with crazy lemons running around? Anyways..........
Loco Lemon was created on some website that had a blog name generator. That's right, nothing special about it. It just stood out to me when I seen it and could not resist using it.
The future of Loco Lemon you ask......
I am striving for reviews on anything toddler, mama, family, or household related. Since I have no followers (if you are reading this please follow me, much appreciated and you won't be disappointed) the reviews will not include any giveaways, just my honest opinion.
Need at least 100 followers before I can even begin to start reviews. So follow me, invite your friends to follow me, or share with on FB. My first review will be in tomorrow's post about cloth diapering vs. disposable diapering my toddler. Hope you come back to check it out! =)
